Happy Mother's Day to all you Mothers!

I'm a little behind in posting to my blog. Anyway here goes. I spent part of the day with my dear mother who is 88 years young. She lost some of her roses over the winter and wanted to replace some so I bought one and took it to her for Mother's Day. Today we planted the Mother's Day rose and my husband took pictures. Mom has a green thumb if there every was one. She can grow anything. Here are some pictures of our planting the rose and flowers that she grows and blooms. After our gardening we were hungry so we went to her favorite place to eat - Subway. I am very fortunate to have my mother.

Applets and Quiltlets once a month gathering

For over 10 years our little group has gotten together once a month. We stitch, visit and eat and have become dear friends. Tonight there were 5 members present and Pam gave us a quiz on the history of quilting. We missed quite a few of the answers, but caught on that the questions were tricky. Anyway here is a picture of Pam and the quilt of valor that she made for a local returning service man or woman. Next weekend, April 25 and 26 is the annual Seaport Quilter's Guild Quilt Show at Clarkston High School in Clarkston, WA. Hope to see you there.

Easter Sunday

Here it is the day before Easter. I meant to post pictures of my trip to the Crazy Quilter http://crazyforquilting.com/ in Deary, Idaho last week, but I left my camera at my mothers. I just got the camera back today and haven't had time to post the pictures. Now they are old news. Anyway I hope you like Mindy's website and store.

Tomorrow we are having Easter dinner with all the fixins. In the afternoon we are taking my mom to listen to some old country music. A friend of ours, Brittnay will join us for dinner and music.
